The Challenge

A fragmented mobile banking experience

A fragmented mobile banking experience was creating friction across everyday financial tasks.

Users faced challenges with authentication, account access, navigation, and essential banking functionality.

The opportunity: create a more seamless experience that helps people access, understand, and manage their finances with less effort.

What We Discovered

01

Fragmented

Multiple applications created disconnected customer journeys.

02

Frustrating

Login, authentication, and session issues interrupted everyday tasks.

03

Limited

Essential banking and financial-management features were difficult to access.

04

Unclear

Customers could see their transactions, but had limited visibility into their overall financial behaviour.

The Opportunity

What if mobile banking could do more than transactions?

We explored how the experience could become a personal financial companion — helping users quickly understand where they stand, how they spend, and what they can do next.

Get, Set & Go

A new mobile banking concept built around three simple principles:

1

Get

Access important information instantly.

2

Set

Understand and organize your finances.

3

Go

Make more informed financial decisions.

Quick Info

The information you need, without the extra steps.

Users can quickly access selected account information directly from the login experience.

Balance · Account · Activity

Personalized settings allow users to choose exactly what they want to see.

Financial Summary

One view of your financial world.

A consolidated overview brings together:

Accounts · Loans · Cards · Investments

Users can understand their overall financial position without moving between multiple sections.

Spending Trends

Turn transactions into insights.

Instead of simply listing transactions, the experience visualizes spending patterns across key categories.

Expenses · Cash Flow · OK to Spend

Month-on-month comparisons help users recognize changes in their financial behaviour.

OK to Spend

Your balance doesn't tell the whole story.

The Spend Widget brings together:

Income + Expenses + Scheduled Transactions + Savings Goals

to give users a clearer view of their available spending capacity.

Budget & Savings

From awareness to action.

Users can create and manage budgets across everyday spending categories.

Personalization

Your banking experience, your way.

Quick Info Settings allow users to select the accounts and information they want to access at a glance.

Exploring the Visual Direction

A more contemporary mobile experience

Alongside the functional concept, we explored an alternative visual direction with a more contemporary mobile experience.

The exploration covered:

Biometric Login · PIN Login · Getting Started · Trends · Budgeting

The goal was to explore how a modern visual language could make everyday banking feel more intuitive and engaging.

From Data to Decisions

See → Understand → Plan → Act

The experience was designed around a simple progression: users start with a quick financial overview, explore their spending, identify patterns, set budgets, and make more informed decisions.

The Outcome

A new direction for mobile banking

The Proof of Concept established a new direction for mobile banking — moving from a fragmented, transaction-focused experience toward a more connected and insight-driven financial journey.

A simpler way to:

Access your money
Understand your spending
Plan your finances
Manage your goals

The Takeaway

Banking shouldn't just tell you where your money is.

It should help you understand where it is going.
